PUGO is a great to earn extra money and be your own boss. Most are eligible to drive on the platform—before you get started, here’s what you need to know.
Anybody can drive with PUGO, although there are a few minimum requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have at least one year of driving experience in the U.S.
(3 years if you are under 23 years old)
- Have a valid U.S. driver’s license
- Use an eligible 4-door vehicle
Before hitting the road, share the following documentation:
- A valid U.S. driver’s license
- Proof of vehicle registration
- Proof of vehicle insurance

Your pay is based on the time and distance of each ride according to your specific location’s rates. When there are a surge of rider requests — during specific commute hours or after an event — you can earn even more.

Normally, filling out basic information (such as your mobile phone number, driver’s license, and other documents) takes less than 30 minutes. Next you'll need to perform the following:
Getting a background check: Because safety is always our priority, we’ll need to run a criminal background check and review your driving history. This can take a few days to complete.
Getting your vehicle inspected: An inspection of your vehicle is required to make sure your it’s ready to pull up and go.

When we inform you that you're approved to drive all you have to do is get into your approved vehicle, open the PUGO Driver app, and go online. You’ll be matched with a random person who is requesting a ride near you. For more information, refer to the PUGO Driver handbook.
